What is it?
The Culture Pass is a service and financial aid from the State which allows young people aged 17 to 18 to discover culture.
Each young person receives money to:
- go to the cinema, to the museum,
- buy books, subscribe to a magazine,
- do internships or workshops,
- download music or movies...
There are also free activities to book directly.
It is not mandatory to have French nationality, nor to be enrolled in an educational establishment (high school, training center, etc.).
You can apply for the Culture Pass up until the day before your 19th birthday.
The money offered on the Culture Pass increases according to age:
- €50 per year for 17-year-olds
- €150 per year for 18-year-olds.
An 18-year- old can receive an additional €50 if:
- is a beneficiary of the disabled child education allowance (AEEH)
- is a beneficiary of the allowance for disabled adults (AAH) .
How to do it?
On Google Play or the App Store
You must first create your account on the mobile app or on the website here .

If you are enrolled in a public institution that depends on the Ministry of National Education, you can use your ÉduConnect credentials (an online space with your grades and information for your education).
If you don't have your ÉduConnect credentials, your middle school or high school can give them to you.
You can still register without ÉduConnect.
1) first create an account on the Culture Pass app or website
2) then make your request on Simplified procedures.
You can log in to Simplified Procedures with FranceConnect and use an account you already have (tax or health insurance, for example).
Otherwise, you must also create an account on Simplified Procedures, with the same email address as on your Pass Culture account.

Then, depending on your situation, you must scan and send these documents:
- an identity document: passport, residence permit, etc.
- a selfie (a photo of you taken with a smartphone or camera) with your identity document in your hand
- A proof of address in your name.

If you are hosted, you must also send:
- a dated and signed accommodation certificate
- the identity document and proof of address of the host or your legal representative (your parents, your guardian ).

When your registration is confirmed, the money arrives into your Pass Culture account, and you can:
Book activities
- cinema tickets
- tickets for concerts, plays, operas, dance performances
- entrances to museums and exhibitions
- places for workshops or training courses...
Buy products
- books
- subscription to newspapers or magazines
- movies
- streaming music
- musical instrument ...
Sports activities, school books, cell phones, computers, speakers, and headphones are not covered by the pass. Conditions are here.
