What is it?
A Gateway University Diploma (DU - Diplôme Universitaire Passerelle in French) allows asylum seekers, beneficiaries of subsidiary or temporary protection, refugees and stateless people to have a better level of French in order to study in France.
This 310-hour training course offers:

- Activities,
- Support to build your academic and professional project in France, etc.

Why is it interesting?
There are between 222 hours and 260 hours of French classes per semester as part of the Gateway University Diploma of the University of Clermont Auvergne.
Depending on your level, you will have between 17 and 20 hours of classes per week.
You will take exams in order to obtain a degree fro the university.
During the course, you will discover what life at university is like in France: you will learn what it is to be a student, how courses and exams are organized, what diplomas and training exist, as well as how to take notes during classes and revise them outside of lectures, how to prepare presentations or exams, etc.

The French higher education system is complex.
During the training course, professionals support you individually to think about your academic and professional project, depending on what is possible.
The professionals also help you write your CVs and cover letters, as well as register for the training courses that interest you.
- Work on the university project supervised by La Fabrique (university service in charge of the integration, orientation or reorientation of students)
- Orientation support
You will have access to different activities during the training course:

- Cultural activities
- Sport activities
- Theater, music and interculturality workshop, etc.
