Why is it interesting?

Approximately 230 hours of French classes are taught as part of the DU Passerelle of the University of Rennes 2.
You will have between 16 and 18 hours of classes per week, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

You will take exams in order to obtain a degree from the university.

It is also possible to take the DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française, in English : Diploma in French Language Studies) at the end of the course.

If you are a beneficiary of international protection or a beneficiary of temporary protection and you are under 35 years old, you can get financial assistance (grants based on social criteria or specific annual aid) every month, as well as an accommodation to complete the course.

During the course, you will discover life at university in France: what it is to be a student, how classes and exams are organized, what degrees and training courses exist, how to take notes during classes and revise them outside of lectures, how to make presentations or prepare for exams, and so on.

  • University methodology class
  • From B2 level: one class per week in a University Training and Research Unit (UFR) with French students.

The French higher education system is complex.

During the course, professionals individually support each student to think about their academic and professional project, depending on what is possible.

These professionals also help you write your CVs and cover letters, as well as register for the training courses that interest you.

  • University orientation and professional integration courses
  • Access to the University Information and Orientation Service
  • CV and cover letter writing workshops
  • Possibility to get free support from an association in charge of professional integration

You will have access to different activities during the course:

  • cultural activities (museum visits, other types of visits, cultural projects, etc.)
  • artistic workshops (cinema, radio, writing, theater, concerts, etc.)
  • access to sports activities offered by the University

Being a Passerelle University Diploma student means benefiting from all university services:

  • University libraries
  • The Student Health Service (social and health service)
  • The Student Life service (reception, information, student monitoring)
  • The Interuniversity Service for Physical and Sports Activities
  • The University Orientation and Professional Integration Information Service
  • The Cultural Service (free events, shows, cinema, exhibitions, etc.)

How to do it?

After sending the application, if it is accepted, you will receive an email with an invitation for an interview.
