The civic exam is an official exam that assesses knowledge of the principles and values of the French Republic, the institutional and political system, rights and duties, history, geography, culture, and life in French society.

The civic exam lasts 45 minutes, there are 40 questions (including 12 situational questions) with several answer choices.

The results are sent within 24 hours.
The certificate of achievement is valid for life.

Why is it interesting?

This makes it easier for you to organize your time if you work during the week.

There are between 4 and 9 candidates in each session, so you don't have to wait long.

Depending on your situation, you can use the certificate of success in the civic exam to apply for a residence permit (multi-year or resident) or to apply for French nationality.

How to do it?

There is no need to go directly to the Maison Familiale Rurale (MFR) in Dole, as the centre's offices are not there and there is no one to answer your questions.
