Train to become a bicycle mechanic and learn French

A 4-month training course to learn how to repair and sell bicycles with:

  • technical training and certification for the profession of bicycle mechanic
  • French lessons
  • professional support
  • an internship.
To participate in the training you must:
- live in Paris (address or accommodation)
- have A2 level in speaking and writing
- have received their first residence permit after 2020
- have signed the CIR (Republican Integration Contract) with the OFII
- be looking for a job in the cycling sector.

Why is it interesting?

  • Learn how to disassemble and assemble a bicycle
  • Learn how to adjust a bicycle and check safety
  • Learn how to manage bicycle inventory
  • Learn how to sell a bicycle and advise customers.
The training is organized in a 360 m² technical space to work as in a professional mechanical workshop.

  • Learn the vocabulary of mechanics and cycling
  • Improved understanding and communication skills, both orally and in writing (with colleagues, managers, clients, etc.)
  • Strengthen your reading and writing skills (professional documents, simple messages, etc.)
  • Practice French in everyday and professional situations.

  • Explanations about the economics of cycling and the opportunities available (workshops, associations, specialist shops, etc.)
  • Professional support and advice for finding a job
  • 4 weeks of company internship.

At the end of the training you take the exam to obtain a Cycle Reuse Mechanic certification (Level 3).
