Proposed by Association Contact et Promotion Updated on il y a 4 jours

French lessons, 2 hours per week, to:

  • Understand the organization of the school
  • Be able to communicate with school professionals and other parents
  • Help children in their daily lives.
To participate in the courses, you must:
- Be the parent of a child enrolled in a school in the Hautepierre neighborhood of Strasbourg
- Need to learn how to read, write, and speak French.

Before starting, there is an assessment/test to determine your level and place you in the appropriate group.

Classes are organized in neighborhood schools, with schedules and days varying depending on the level.

Why is it interesting?

  • Understand school documents (emails, posters, notes in the schoolbag or communication notebook…)
  • Answer and ask questions on simple topics (identity, family situation, nutrition, health, place of residence…)
  • Learn useful school vocabulary (materials, activities, children’s daily life…)
  • Understand and complete forms

  • Learn how the school is organized, its schedule, rules, and staff
  • Follow your children’s activities to help them get ready and talk about their day
  • Take part in meetings, school trips, and events

  • Advice and experience sharing on children’s nutrition, sports, and screen time
  • Discussions about public schools in France
  • Addresses of services or associations in Strasbourg
