Discover careers in the food industry

With CTAI (Territorial Reception and Integration Contract) of the city of Saint-Lô

A 14-week training program including:

  • oral and written French courses for work
  • visits to companies and training centers in the food-processing industry
  • meetings with professionals
  • group activities and individual advice.
To participate in this training, you must:
- have signed the CIR (Republican Integration Contract) with the OFII
- be in possession of a residence permit for less than 5 years.

Why is it interesting?

  • Speak in work situations
  • Read, understand and use professional documents
  • Learn the vocabulary of the world of work.

  • Meet professionals: visits to agri-food companies
  • Participate in technical workshops
  • Discuss with professionals (temporary employment agencies, training centers and company managers)
  • Understanding the rules and habits to be respected.
Technical platforms are places equipped to discover professions and train in conditions close to real work (kitchen, factory...).

  • Know how to find your way around and use public transport
  • Know how and where to look for work.

How to do it?

Ask a professional (social worker, France Travail advisor, Mission Locale contact person, shelter manager, etc.) or contact directly the Mersier social center:

The Mersier Social Centre is open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
