Improve your French skills to understand your rights and duties

With Workshops on ‘Access to Rights’

A 4-month training program to:

  • better understand administrative documents and improve your French
  • be independent in your administrative and daily tasks
  • gain confidence and feel good in a group.

Locations: Saint-Herblain and Saint-Nazaire.

9 hours of classes per week. Workshops take place during the day, on weekdays, with group activities, in small groups or individually.
Before starting, you will take a French test to check your level and choose the most suitable course.
To participate, you must:
- be a refugee, or beneficiary of subsidiary protection, or stateless
- or have been in France for less than 5 years with a residence permit authorizing them to work
- have signed the CIR (Republican Integration Contract) at the OFII
- or be a beneficiary of temporary protection
- be able to read and write in your native language
- live in a priority neighborhood.

Why is it interesting?

  • Understanding and completing forms (CAF, taxes, etc.)
  • Understanding a letter, an email, an official text message, etc.
  • Use of multiple media: texts, audio recordings, videos, everyday documents, writing exercises and role-playing.

  • Be able to get by in everyday life
  • Carry out your administrative procedures: make an appointment, write a letter, etc.
  • Gain confidence to speak more easily.

  • Know your rights, your responsibilities: housing, health, etc.
  • Discover culture and leisure activities: visits (media library, town hall, etc.)
  • Identify a violation of your rights and know how to react.
A violation is the failure to respect your rights. This happens if access to studies or work is denied, if you are refused medical care, etc.
