A training course lasting approximately 4 months, including:

  • French lessons (spoken and written)
  • meetings with professionals
  • visits to companies and training centers
  • group activities and individual advice
  • workshops for employment with France Travail.

There are 15 hours of classes per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

To participate in this training, you must:
- have signed the CIR (Republican Integration Contract) with the OFII or not
- have held a residence permit for less than 5 years
- live in Saint-Lô or a town around it (list of towns in the Saint-Lô area here).

Why is it interesting?

  • Speaking in everyday situations (doctor, supermarket, prefecture, etc.) and in professional environment (with a manager, colleagues, etc.)
  • Read, understand and use professional documents
  • Work vocabulary.

  • Meetings with professionals who can help you find a job or qualifying training
  • Visits to training centers, integration projects and technical platforms
  • Opportunity to undertake periods of immersion in a company.
Technical platforms are places equipped to discover professions and train in conditions close to real work (kitchen, factory...).

  • Know where and how to look for work
  • Learn how to use your France Travail account, update your status, apply for jobs online, and participate in job fairs.
  • Be able to use public transport alone.
A job dating event is a meeting between people looking for work and companies that are recruiting.
You can speak directly with an employer and present your experience and skills.

Ask a professional (social worker, France Travail advisor, Mission Locale contact person, accommodation centre manager, etc.) or contact the social centre directly:

Mersier social center is open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
