Where is it?
Help to take the driver's license
What is it?
Personalized help and support to help you pass your driver's license with:
- financial assistance to pay for driving hours
- conversation workshops to learn French
- Highway Code courses.
- need to have a driver's license for your professional project (training course or work)
- reside in the city of Angers for at least one year
- pay at least 20% of the total cost of the license.
Please note, your family quotient (an indicator of your monthly resources calculated by the CCAS) must be less than €800 at the time of application. You do not need to be registered with a driving school.
Why is it interesting?
You can have up to €1,000.
You can chat in French to practice and improve your language skills.

- Learn the vocabulary of the Highway Code and driving, and get to know the words used.
How to do it?
What you will need:
- a recent driving school quote
- the assessment of the number of driving hours
- a proof of address (electricity bill, telephone bill, etc.) for more than 1 year
- your last bank statement or proof of income and expenses for the last 30 days
- your work or internship contract or training certificate
- your resume
- a cover letter explaining why the license is of interest to you and why you are requesting financial assistance
- the second level road safety school certificate (ASSR2) or road safety certificate (ASR) for people under 21
- for ongoing driving courses, a receipt for the sums paid to the driving school, or the student's statement (a document showing the dates of driving hours completed, with a schedule of the sums paid).
- a full tax assessment for the current and previous year for both the parents and the applicant
- a certificate from the CAF or MSA (agricultural social security) from both parents and the applicant.
