Learn French to become a medical-social service agent

A 6-month full-time training course to learn the profession of medical-social service agent, including:

  • French lessons
  • professional training
  • an internship in a company.

The training is made of 2 steps: firstly, French lessons, then technical skills.

Upon finishing the training, you can obtain the professional title of medical-social service agent.

To do this training, you must:
- be a refugee, a beneficiary of subsidiary - or temporary - protection, stateless, or have been in France for less than 5 years
- have an A2 level of French
- be registered with France Travail
- have completed the courses at OFII and signed the CIR.

Why is it interesting?

Thanks to French courses (105 hours in total), you can:

  • learn the vocabulary of the job
  • communicate with managers, colleagues or supported people
  • understand professional situations.

Thanks to professional training (420 hours in total) and the internship (105 hours in total), you can be:

  • a hospital or hotel service agent
  • in a medical-social establishment such as a hospital, a nursing home, an independent residence for the elderly, a day center, etc.

During the training, you prepare for the exam for the professional title of medical-social service agent. This is an official diploma that certifies your skills and helps you find a job.

After training, you can be put in contact with companies that are recruiting.

How to do it?

  1. Complete this form.
    If you complete it directly, you must choose "Candidat" at the top.
    If you complete with your social worker or your France Travail advisor, you must choose “Prescripteur”.
  2. The training center will contact you.
  3. You will be taking a French language assessment.
