Where is it?
Find a job in the construction industry
What is it?
A 3-week program to help you work in the construction or building industry. It includes:
- French lessons
- An overview of the professions companies are looking for
- Advice on finding a job or a training course
- Individual coaching
The goal is to find stable employment on a construction site as quickly as possible.
Why is it interesting?
- Become familiar with the construction terminology
- Understand the safety rules
- Communicate with colleagues and site managers in order to be independent
- Learn how to introduce yourself to a recruiter in French
- Be aware of your skills
- Talk about your professional experiences
- Create a résumé and amend it yourself
- Identify which websites to use to look for work or a training course
- Be familiar with the different type of contracts (temporary contract (CDD), permanent contract (CDI), temporary work, etc.) and labour law for employees
- You will receive coaching and support during and after the training course to help you find a job or a training course as quickly as possible
- The training course will be adjusted to your individual needs
- You will be in contact with other organisations that can help you with different matters: driving licence, housing applications, registering for a training course, registering with France Travail (French agency for employment), opening a bank account, etc.
