Sandwich course for kitchen assistants

An 11-month course to become a kitchen assistant with:

  • French training to learn cooking vocabulary and prepare for a French diploma
  • Cooking training to discover recipes, cooking techniques and obtain a kitchen assistant diploma
  • An apprenticeship contract (work-study) in a restaurant as an employee
  • Private lessons: use of digital technology, construction of the professional project
  • Social and professional support from school teams.
For 11 months, the rhythm is: 1 week at school, 3 weeks in a restaurant.

Why is it interesting?

At the end of the training, you will have 2 diplomas which are valid for the rest of your life:

  • a diploma in cooking (professional title “Kitchen assistant” (level 3)
  • a French language diploma: "DCL" (diploma of proficiency in a professional language).

The work-study contract provides:

  • a salary and a pay slip at the end of the month
  • an extended experience in catering, to easily find a job after training
  • a stable routine for 11 months.

  • Workshops to create a CV and cover letter
  • Connect with professionals while looking for a job
  • Guidance on administrative and social matters (financial aid from CAF, housing, etc.)
