What is it?

A relationship built between a volunteer and a young person or child, with meetings once or twice a month to restore your confidence and allow you to meet new people.
The volunteer is a reliable person who donates their time and help, and gives advice.

There are 2 programs available:

1. Sponsorship

Regular meetings and activities: cooking, drawing, walking, playing basketball, cycling, watching a film, playing board games, reading, playing a musical instrument, visiting an exhibition, going to a museum, etc.

Duration: 1 year (minimum)
Age: between 3 and 25 years old

2. Mentoring

Help in achieving a suitable specific goal: writing a CV and a cover letter, preparing for a job interview, passing an exam or an entry test, accomplishing an administrative procedure, understanding your rights, starting a new job, doing well in a sports competition, etc.

Duration: 6 months
Age: between 14 and 25 years old

Why is it interesting?

  • See shows, visit museums, read books
  • Try out activities and sports
  • Learn while having fun at the same time.
  • Improve your spoken French and your comprehension
  • Learn new words
  • Learn how to communicate in professional situations.
  • Become more at ease in daily life, at school, at work, etc.
  • Understand French history, culture and customs.
  • Meet the volunteer’s family, friends and colleagues
  • Meet new people during activities
  • Develop the ability to adapt and open up to others.
  • Help available whenever needed
  • Advice on administrative procedures
  • Support and trust, so that you can ask questions about anything.
  • See children develop positively
  • Contribute to their academic success
  • Time for parents to focus on other activities.
