What is it?

A training free and paid to learn the job of shop assistant, and sign a work-study contract or a permanent contract at the end.

The training is organized from Monday to Friday for 3 months.

You will learn to:

  • Manage the activity of a department (fruit and vegetables, fishmonger, butcher, fresh produce, etc.) in a department store

  • Prepare the products.
To submit an application, you must:
- have a residence permit with work authorization
- have a minimum level of French A2
- be registered with France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi) or in the process of registering
- be available full time (5 days per week) during the 3 months of training.

There are several training courses per year, in several sectors (distribution, transport, health, banking, etc.) and in several cities (Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille, Lille, etc.). The program is here.

At the end of each training course, you have the option of signing a permanent, fixed-term or work-study contract in a large company.

Why is it interesting?

  • Learn the skills of a shop assistant, a specialist employee in a department
  • Understand the sales industry
  • Have a professional attitude with customers, colleagues, managers
  • Work as part of a team.
Depending on your situation, you can receive between €250 and €685 each month from France Travail (formerly Pôle Emploi).
  • French courses to better understand and communicate orally and in writing
  • Know professional specialized vocabulary.

At the end of the training, you will have the opportunity to perform an internship in a shop to put your new skills into practice.
