What is it?
3977: you can call this free number if you are a victim or witness of violence against an elderly person or person with a disability.
This national number is open to people aged over 60 and people with disabilities who are victims of psychological, physical and sexual violence, particularly within the family or in care institutions.
If you are a victim or witness, you can call 3977 to:
- have someone who listens to you
- receive information
- find a structure that can help and support you.
Why is it interesting?
Witnesses and elderly or disabled people who are victims of physical or psychological violence or scams receive active and caring listening.
A group of professionals listen to you and can help you and advise you.
If necessary or in the event of immediate danger, the police can be called for an intervention.
When you call this number, it is not necessary to give your name.
Your identity will not be shared if you do not want it to be shared.
How to do it?
The national number is open 7 days a week, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. then from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
