Become a home assistant

A training free and paid to learn the profession of home assistant, and sign a permanent contract at the end.

The training is organized from Monday to Friday for 3 months.

You will learn to:

  • Support a vulnerable, elderly or disabled person with daily activities
  • Carry out household chores (shopping, housekeeping, etc.)
  • Prepare meals adapted to the person's needs.
To submit an application, you must:
- have a residence permit with work authorization
- have a minimum level of French A2
- be registered with France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi) or in the process of registering
- be available full time (5 days a week, all day) during the 3 months of training.

There are several training courses per year, in several sectors (distribution, transport, health, banking, etc.) and in several cities (Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille, Lille, etc.). The program is here.

At the end of each training course, you have the option of signing a permanent, fixed-term or work-study contract in a large company.

Why is it interesting?

  • Learn the skills of a home assistant.
  • Enable each participant to regain self-confidence and adopt the right professional posture.
Depending on your situation, you can receive between €250 and €685 each month from France Travail (formerly Pôle emploi).

  • French courses to better understand and communicate orally and in writing
  • Know professional specialized vocabulary.

  • At the end of the training, you have the opportunity to do an internship to put the new skills into practice.

The aim is to sign a full-time permanent contract.
