Get psychological support after a traumatic event
What is it?
The center of the Créteil Solidarity Association welcomes, listens and provides free support to adults who have experienced traumatic events.
We welcome all adult beneficiaries of international protection, regardless of gender or nationality.
A professional interpreter in your language is always present if your level of French does not allow you to express yourself well.
Why is it interesting?
Our team helps you overcome the difficult events in your life:
- Being able to talk about your problems, being listened to, and receiving individual advice
- Building new benchmarks
- Having a consultation with a psychologist.
We offer to accompany you in your integration and care procedures:
- Getting help to get treated: finding a doctor, making a medical appointment…
- Informing yourself about your rights: opening AME (State Medical Aid) rights, orientation towards dedicated structures (Health Insurance, CAF…)
- Learning to navigate the healthcare system (where to go for follow-up, better understanding my situation…).
We assist you when necessary and work with your social and legal referents to facilitate your follow-up.
If you wish, we can guide you towards partner structures in the city to help you integrate into French society:
- Meeting other associations
- Building a project related to cultural activities
- Volunteering with other associations.
How to do it?
You can approach a professional who is following you (social worker, doctor, social worker, socio-cultural animator or a volunteer…) and ask to benefit from this program.
The professional fills out a referral form, and sends it by email to the team at Créteil Solidarity center: creteilsolidaritesspt@gmail.com
After being referred by a professional, you have an initial welcome interview.
You are received by a psychologist to assess your request.
After your initial welcome interview, a follow-up may be offered to you or a referral to other structures that will accompany you.
You are always free to accept or decline the establishment of a follow-up.
