What is it?

AGIR is a housing and employment support program for refugees in France.

The AGIR program helps you with your integration process in France and with your procedures.

You can find help to:

  • take care of administrative procedures, for you and your children
  • find accommodation
  • find training to learn French or to learn a trade
  • find a job, in conjunction with France Travail
  • find solutions to the difficulties of daily life (childcare, health, mobility)
AGIR support lasts a maximum of 24 months, and it is made official by signing a contract that binds you. You have meetings every 2 months, and group workshops are organized during your support.

Why is it interesting?

You can ask questions and get help with administrative procedures: taxes, driver's license, bank account, identity papers, residence card, etc.

  • Be supported in your career choice
  • Define your career goals and find a job or training, in conjunction with France Travail
  • Find and enroll in a training center or an association to improve your French
  • Discovery of employment aids and support structures for professional integration: France Travail, local Missions, AFPA, etc.
  • Get help in finding accommodation
  • Help with settling in and with the formalities after finding accommodation (housing benefit)
  • Support to become independent in your accommodation.

How to do it?

To benefit from this program, you must:

  • be a beneficiary of international protection (adult or minor over the age of 16)
  • have had international protection for less than two years
  • have signed the CIR (Republican Integration Contract)
  • reside and live in Yonne (have a fixed address).
Members of your family (spouse, minor children, parents), even if they are not refugees, can benefit from the program with you.

If you meet the requirements (see part 1) to benefit from the AGIR program, you can be referred directly by the OFII.
