Updated on il y a 4 mois

What is it?

The Splash program is a diploma training course to become a water lifeguard, in 3 stages:

  1. From September to November 2023: swimming and French tests to join the program.
  2. From October to November 2023: swimming lessons four times a week with a lifeguard and swimming sessions to train and prepare for the program's entrance test.
  3. From December 11, 2023 to March 28, 2024: full-time training (35 hours per week), free of charge and paid by Pôle emploi.
During the program, you will first graduate from the Bathing Supervisor Certificate (BSB) which allows you to supervise minor children in leisure centers.
The objective of the program is then to pass the National Aquatic Safety and Rescue Certificate (BNSSA) to become a lifeguard and be able to supervise public or private beaches, private swimming pools, and assist the lifeguard in the supervision of public swimming pools.
Non-French-speaking participants will also take the DELF diploma (A2 or B1) between April and May.
To participate in this training, you must be registered with Pôle Emploi.

Why is it interesting?

The profession of lifeguard is sought after by recruiters today in France, so it is easy and quick to find a job with this diploma.

  • learn a new profession
  • progress in French and pass the DELF diploma
  • develop new professional skills
  • have socio-professional, individual and collective support.

This program is open to refugees, beneficiaries of subsidiary protection, stateless people, beneficiaries of temporary protection and new arrivals, but also to French people.
