Training in the catering profession

Updated on il y a 6 jours

This is a pre-qualifying training course for catering professions for people not registered with France Travail or who have not heard from their advisor for more than 5 months.

You must want to work in the world of traditional or collective catering, in the kitchen or in service.

The objectives are:

  • Improve your knowledge (strengthening French, mathematics, digital skills)
  • Better define your professional project (career discovery, internship, professional support).
A pre-training certificate can be issued upon request.

Why is it interesting?

French lessons adapted to your level to progress in writing and speaking are offered by a FLE (French as a foreign language) teacher:

  • Review basic skills (reading, writing).
  • Understand technical vocabulary.
A French test is carried out before you enter training.
A course to strengthen the basics in mathematics applicable to the catering sector is also offered to become independent in your professional life.
  • Know how to create a CV and write a cover letter
  • Learn to use digital technology: create a mailbox, office automation, take an online procedure, etc.
  • Develop your professional skills: health and safety rules, technical gestures, etc.
  • Visit companies and take part in simulations.

At the end of the training, you will do an internship to use your knowledge, show your motivation and validate your interest in the chosen career.

You can also follow another qualifying training course and specialize in a specific profession: for example, the profession of kitchen assistant ( Tournesol Program ).

> Learn more about the Tournesol Program : see the Réfugiés.info fact sheet .

You can benefit from individual monitoring throughout the course and after your training (two months).

How to do it?

Remember to specify:

  • your first name, your last name
  • your phone number.
Sessions are held twice a year.
