What is it?

FIER (Football Inclusion Employment for newcomers) is a training program which prepares you for the job of reception agent in a sports club.

The program is in 2 stages:

  1. From September 4 to December 22, 2023, full-time courses (35 hours per week) to learn new French and digital skills, and prepare you for professional life in a sports club. These 4 months are paid.
  2. From January to June 2024, a 6-month work-study program in a sports club to prepare for the professional title of administrative and reception employee adapted to the sports and entertainment sector. This second stage of training is accessible provided you find a sports club for the work-study program.
The criteria for applying to the program are:
- be a beneficiary of international protection (refugee status or subsidiary protection or stateless person), temporary protection, or be a new arrival (in France for less than 5 years and holder of a residence permit)
- have at least a confirmed A2 level in French
- be between 18 and 29 years old and live in the Lyon Metropolis
- be a job seeker and registered (or eligible) with Pôle emploi
- be passionate about sport, especially football.

Why is it interesting?

  • Introductory animation courses
  • Professional French courses
  • Digital refresher courses (using a computer, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Courses to be able to carry out administrative procedures alone and better understand the French social system .

The first part of the training is organized in the offices of Olympique Lyonnais (football club) with courses to prepare you to find a job in this field.

A 4 -day immersion in a sports structure is also offered.

It is then possible to prepare a professional title of Administrative and Reception Employee (CAP level diploma), in a work-study program in a company in the sports sector.
