Cooking in a restaurant
What is it?
The Refugee Food Festival is a cooking festival that takes place every year around June 20, World Refugee Day.
It takes place in restaurants in 11 French cities: Paris, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Rennes, Nantes, Dijon, Montpellier, Tours and Nice.
During this festival, you can cook in restaurants and share your culture.
After the festival, you can get support to find permanent work or training in catering.
Why is it interesting?
If you participate in this festival, you can have experience in the catering sector and meet professionals.
At the end of the festival, you can be accompanied to find training or employment in the catering or hospitality sector:
- opportunity to meet professionals
- appointments with companies
- learning how to write a CV to find work and send applications.
During the festival, you meet people and share your cuisine and your culture.
You also help to inform the public about the situation of refugees in France, thanks to the kitchen.
How to do it?
You can write directly to: fanny@refugee-food.org to explain that you are interested in participating in the next festival. Don't forget to specify the city.
Applications are accepted all year round.
