Where is it?
Doing civic service in Rennes (solidarity mission + French learning)
What is it?
Coop'R is a civic service programme for refugees organised by the Unis-Cité association. Their solidarity mission is carried out in a team of 20 young people: 10 refugees with 10 French speakers (always in groups - at the very least, in refugee-French-speaking pairs).
It's an 8-month commitment with missions in a variety of areas to make friends and integrate into France.
The programme starts in October and ends in June (28 hours, 4 days a week).
Why is it interesting?
This civic service can allow you to improve your level of French by immersion with French speakers, while doing useful things and in a good atmosphere. French lessons are included.
You will be able to carry out missions useful to others in various fields and therefore discover and learn new things.
With the status of civic service, you will be able to benefit from an allowance of 610 euros per month.
An increase of €113 is possible based on social criteria (for scholarship students and members of a household receiving RSA).
Civic service can help you prepare for your future and build your career plan.
At least 3 group workshops and 3 individual interviews will be scheduled during the year, preparation for professional interviews, etc.
You will carry out your civic service in a team of 20 young people (10 French and 10 refugees) who help each other to do things together. We are never alone in Unis-Cité! It is therefore an opportunity to also meet other people of your age.
Your mission will bring you to different structures and you will meet people from different industries (animation, care, personal assistance, digital, ...) to discover these environments and network.
