Get tested for tuberculosis

With Centre de Lutte Anti Tuberculeuse (Tuberculosis Prevention Centre or CLAT)

Proposed by Unité de Prévention des Maladies Infectieuses Updated on il y a 6 jours

Tuberculosis screening is done in two ways, depending on your age and situation (exposure, health status):

  • Chest X-ray
  • Intradermal reaction (IDR): injection administered to the forearm by a nurse. The skin will either react locally or not.
The reaction is read 48 to 72 hours after the injection.

Why is it interesting?

You will not have to pay for this exam.

You will be seen by healthcare professionals bound by medical confidentiality.

Tuberculosis is a potentially serious and contagious infectious disease. Getting tested allows you to find out quickly if you have the disease and receive treatment as soon as possible. This also helps reduce the spread of the disease.
