What is it?
This system facilitates access to short-term employment, often a gateway to sustainable social and professional integration. Participants in the STEP's system are supported to complete 40 to 60 hours of work in the Integration Workshops and Sites. Participants are paid quickly, in cash.
- Device intended for refugees, beneficiaries of international protection and stateless persons only.
- No prerequisites other than having an administrative document authorizing work in France and social security registration (AME, Carte Vitale) even if obsolete.
Why is it interesting?
It can vary between 4 hours and 2 to 3 days of work per week depending on the sites and the situation of each person.
The participant can go to the Relais Ozanam reception at any time to collect their pay using their timesheet. The work is paid at the minimum wage.
At the end of the experience, an assessment is carried out in the presence of the guidance counselor, to help participants receive advice and guidance towards more sustainable employment or training or towards taking other difficulties into account.
