Meet a bailiff
with CDAD 21
What is it?
The bailiff is responsible for informing people that legal action has been taken against them by giving them a summons. Once the judgment has been handed down, he informs these people of the court decision. He also ensures its execution.
He can also intervene to give legal advice. He goes on the road to draw up "statements of facts" that can be used as evidence in a dispute (statement of condition, statement of neighbourhood disturbance, etc.).
With the Conseil départemental d'accès au droit (CDAD), you can meet with a bailiff free of charge at office hours in Dijon and the region.
