France Bénévolat is an association that helps all people who want to become volunteers in an association (i.e. give their time to others) to find a mission that suits them.

There are many associations in France that offer volunteer work: preparing or distributing meals to people in difficulty, collecting products, gardening, helping children with their homework, organizing sports activities, giving language lessons, etc.

These volunteer missions are not paid. They can be one-off (once or twice a year) or regular (a few hours each week for example).

Why is it interesting?

Volunteering, serving others and with others, allows you to feel useful, and to find yourself in a position to "give" by sharing what you know how to do.

Associations that offer volunteer missions are places for meeting, sharing and exchanging ideas that allow people to better understand French society, create links and belong to a community.

The volunteer experience allows you to practice French, develop know-how (digital, cooking, gardening, DIY, sports, etc.) and skills (autonomy, communication, listening). The Volunteer Passport developed by France Bénévolat allows you to keep track of this experience and highlight the skills developed.
