Short, funny videos presenting real-life situations at the prefecture, to:

  • learn the difference between everyday, colloquial and formal language
  • understand appropriate behaviour in a formal context
  • express feelings.

In each episode, a foreigner does or says something that is not appropriate, then a voice-over suggests other words and expressions to correct the situation. Important vocabulary is written down.

The actors are themselves refugees and have experienced these situations since their arrival in France.

Why is it interesting?

The videos help to understand what you can and cannot say at the prefecture or other official places.

This makes it easier to communicate with the people who work there and makes you more confident.

Each episode offers words adapted to the situation, with synonyms.

For example, you will learn you how to:

  • make or confirm an administrative appointment
  • ask for help
  • say that a situation irritates you...

All episodes of the series are online: you can watch them whenever you want, several times, for free.
