What is it?

A 15-week program to find a job in the hotel or catering industry with:

  • professional French courses
  • tips for finding a job
  • an introduction to digital technology
  • activities to develop human and professional qualities
  • a 3-week professional immersion in a company.

Positions available: waiter, cook, kitchen assistant, general catering employee, maid or valet.

The training is free and compensated (you receive money).

Why is it interesting?

  • Improve your level of spoken and written French (technical vocabulary, communication at work, etc.)
  • Know how to use digital tools at the workplace.
  • Develop your personal and professional qualities
  • Adopt the right attitude at work.
  • Develop your knowledge of the company: compliance with instructions, hygiene and safety measures, etc.
  • Learn to be independent at work.
At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion of training to validate the knowledge acquired.

How to do it?

  1. Complete this online form
  2. Participate in a group information meeting at Weavers à l'Herminette (5 côte Saint Maurice, 74000 Annecy) or at France Travail (127 avenue de Genève, 74000 Annecy).
  3. Have a phone interview to check if you meet the requirements
  4. Take a French test to assess your level
  5. If your level of French is good, you will have an individual motivation interview
To participate in the training, you must:
- have a residence permit or receipt authorizing you to work in France
- be looking for a job and be registered with France Travail
- have a minimum level of French A1, spoken and written
- want to work in a hotel or restaurant in Annecy.
