The provision, free of charge and without administrative procedures, of an instantaneous telephone interpretation tool, available 24/7, facilitates communication during a medical visit with an allophone patient .

Through a telephone call, you are put in touch with a professional interpreter, trained in intercultural communication, and who guarantees medical confidentiality.

You have the possibility to benefit from this tool if you work on the territory of the Metropolis of Rouen Normandy as:

- freelance health professional (general practitioner, specialist, paramedical)

- health professional in social structure (CHRS, CADA, etc.)

- professional in a medicocal and social structure (LHSS, ACT, LAM, etc.)

Why is it interesting?

The tool can be used to support people who speak other languages and whose access to care might otherwise have been hindered by language barriers.

Having an interpreter present during a medical consultation means that patients and doctors can be treated more accurately and understand each other better.

A perfect understanding of the information during a medical consultation allows the patient to be autonomous in their healthcare passway, and to better understand the French healthcare system.
