Learn French vocabulary with pictures
What is it?
The Sen-Mo picture books are books for learning French vocabulary in everyday and professional situations.
Each book presents 100 words around a theme, with a picture, simplified phonetics and international phonetics to know how to pronounce them.
The themes available are:
- food
- work
- the Highway Code
- hobbies
- health
- women's health
- civil engineering construction
- building engineering
- Welcome
Good to know: These picture books were created with volunteers who chose the words and drew the images.
Why is it interesting?
Picture books help to learn vocabulary and to pronounce important words well, to improve your French, both orally and in writing.
You can also use picture books to chat with other people.
Welcome is a special picture book for people who have just arrived in France.
There are more than 200 words and phrases to have the basics in French on subjects of daily life, for example: I introduce myself, I take care of myself, I go shopping, I do administrative procedures, I work...
Three bilingual versions are available today: French-Ukrainian, French-Russian and French-English.
How to do it?
All picture books are available free of charge on the fable-Lab website . You can click on the theme that interests you and download the document.
Paper versions of the picture books are also available for sale.
Good to know: All the contents of the image books (images, words, phonetics) and new resources (translations, recording of pronunciations) are available on the Yiotta platform.
