Becoming a tenured lecturer-researcher in higher education
Proposed by JRS France Updated on il y a un moisThere are several types of positions in higher education:
- Permanent teacher-researchers (civil servants)
- Contractual teacher-researchers (fixed-term or permanent contract)
- Casual workers (contractual workers paid by the hour).
The holders are either lecturers (MCF) or university professors (PU).
All of them teach and do research. However, university professors (PU) have more experience and responsibilities.
You must have a very good level of French (B2 minimum) to be granted tenure, but it is not mandatory to be French.
How to do it?
