What is it?

JRS French School offers free French language courses from level A0 to B1 for asylum seekers and refugees. The small groups are divided by level and allow complete, in-depth and regular language learning that can lead, if the students so wish, to a certification at the end of the session.

This learning is articulated between language courses allowing to work on all language skills and socio-cultural activities which promote the practice of the target language.

Why is it interesting?

Small groups

For a more in-depth learning and a personal and attentive follow-up of the students, our classes do not exceed 12 pupils.

A lenghty training

The course sessions last for 9 months. This duration allows a thorough learning of the language, without haste, so that the students acquire solid bases and strengthen them. The lessons last or 2 hours and take place 4 times a week, allowing for regularity in learning.

Obtaining a certification

Pupils who so wish can take the DILF (Initial Diploma in French Language) or the DELF (Diploma in French Language Teaching for National Education) corresponding to the language level obtained at the end of the session. This diploma certifies the students' French language skills and notably allows, depending on the level acquired, access to vocational training or to university.

Socio-cultural activities

Learning a language also involves practicing it in different contexts and discovering cultural elements. Several activities are implemented with this in mind (poetry evenings, French school newspaper, cultural outings, etc.) in order to promote the understanding and the practice of French.

How do I get involved?

JRS France level tests - 12 rue d'Assas - Paris

The JRS French school is currently full. Our course sessions last from September to June. However, places may become available during the year depending on the level.
