What is it?

The custom certificate is a document issued by OFPRA to certify that you are indeed subject to "French personal law" , that is to say that you must respect French law with regard to marriage, for example.

OFPRA also issues a certificate of custom for other administrative procedures (eg: PACS).

Please note : This custom certificate has no validity limit.

To obtain the certificate, you must first download the “custom certificate request form” from the OFPRA website.

Please note : The form is located in the “to download” section in dark pink, at the bottom of the page.

Alternatively, you can also click here to directly download the form.

Once downloaded, the form is to be printed and then completed.

Once completed, the form must be mailed to the following address:

In case of loss, you can request a duplicate

The “certificate of custom” document is issued within approximately one month . It has no validity period.

In the event of loss, you can request a duplicate (i.e. an official copy of the document) from OFPRA, by mail or on site (on the first floor).
