The “Meetings and Leisure” sponsorship is an opportunity to get involved with a refugee, to promote their integration and to encourage their empowerment. It is also being able to help them improve their language skills in French and allow them to discover French society by organizing regular meetings and leisure activities (trips to the museum, to the cinema, visits to monuments, readings, sports activities. , etc.).
Citizen sponsorship programs are aimed at anyone - young people, students, professionals, adults, etc. - willing to get involved with refugees. The only essential criteria remains the motivation of the future sponsor who will have to give his time to accompany and meet regularly with the sponsored person.
However, you will in no way have to replace the social worker, the goal being to promote the creation of social links and to develop a privileged relationship with the sponsored person.
